Mission Statement

The Robertson National School is a Church of Ireland school which is part of the local community with strong links to the parish of Drumholm.  The school community fosters partnership between children, teachers, parents/guardians, Board of Management and other relevant professionals.

While the Robertson National School is a school with a Church of Ireland ethos, it also has due respect for other faiths.

Our vision is to provide a friendly atmosphere in which all children are encouraged to achieve their full potential.  Our school will endeavour to accomplish this by:

  •  Fostering moral values such as courtesy, honesty, respect and tolerance
  •  Developing and enhancing self-esteem;
  •  Developing the child’s ability to think clearly, creatively and critically;
  •  Fostering the child’s aesthetic and physical development through the media of music, drama, P.E., games and art;
  •  Encouraging children to see themselves as members of a community where all are entitled to live irrespective of age,  sex, intelligence, family circumstances or physical characteristics;
  •  Promoting a sense of civic responsibility;
  •  Enabling pupils to recognise and manage their emotions;
  •  Preparing the child for further education and lifelong learning.
