We say a huge thank you to those parents and friends who gave up their time to go bag packing in Supervalu on Saturday. Over €1000 was raised which is fantastic. Thank you all very much.
Putting on the Ritz
We hope to be able to let you know later in the week how much money was raised at the fundraising show. We are just waiting on the last of the ticket money to be returned to school.
Staffing
We were delighted to welcome Mrs Gourley and Eli to school on Friday. This was Eli's first visit and he received a very warm welcome from Mrs Gourley's other babies. We were also joined by Mrs Patterson and Jorja.
Mrs Patterson will be returning to work on Monday 18th May and will be teaching Junior and Senior Infants until further notice.
Friday 8th May will be Miss Rooney's last day with us for the time being and we thank her very much for her help and her hard work over the past few months.
School Tours
The Junior School Tour for Junior Infants to 2nd Class will visit Alcorn's and Arena 7 in Letterkenny on Thursday 28th May.
The Senior School Tour for 3rd to 6th Class will visit Florencecourt House and the Marble Arch Caves on Friday 22nd May.
Both tours will cost €15. Please note that for both tours, the bus costs are being met from fundraising money.
Walk on Wednesday
We hope everyone is going to join us for our 'Walk on Wednesday' initiative which is part of our Green Flag work.
We will be meeting to walk from 9.00 - 9.10 a.m. on Wednesday 13th May.
Those on the Ballyshannon side of school will meet at the children's playground.
Those on the Laghey side of school will meet at the Community Centre.
Test Week
Although Test Week officially begins on Monday 18th May, please bear in mind that due to the number of tests the children will be taking, some testing may take place the week before and the week after this. Please try to ensure that children are punctual (some tests will begin at 9.30 a.m.) and that there are no absences or appointments.
Cathaleen's Falls
The children in the Senior Room enjoyed a very interesting and informative visit to Cathaleen's Falls on Tuesday 5th May.
