We are very much looking forward to seeing our valiant group of parents perform as part of the show 'Putting on the Ritz" on Saturday night. I know they have been practising almost every night in the last fortnight as well as twice a week for the past few months. It promises to be a very entertaining evening. I just wish to remind everyone that because of the hotel licensing laws children are not allowed to attend.
We hope that many of the audience will dress up - I have headbands and trilby hats in school if anyone would like to borrow something for the night.
We also thank those who helped sell tickets in Kees on Saturday 4th April. A total of €345 was raised.

We are still looking for some help with bag packing on Saturday 2nd May so if you can help for an hour or two, please let us know.

Walkability Audit - Green Flag news
As part of our work for our next Green Flag (Travel), the children in the Senior Room took part in a 'Walkability' activity on Wednesday. The aim of the walk was to identify suitable places around the village where parents could park and then walk the remaining journey to school. (See pictures in the Gallery)
Two suitable locations were identified and the children walked both routes assessing their safety and suitability for walking. One location is the Community Centre for those on the Laghey side of the village. The other is the car park beside the playground for those on the Ballyshannon side of the village.
To launch our 'Park and Stride' initiative, we are going to hold a 'Walk to school on Wednesday' event on Wednesday 13th May. More details will be sent home in the next week. We hope that everyone will support the event.
Clean up
We have registered to take part in the National Spring Clean initiative. If there are any parents who would like to help out with this, please let us know. We will initially be clearing litter around the immediate school area.
Book Fair
The Book Fair will be in school from Wednesday 3rd June.
Pilates
The children are continuing their weekly sessions of Pilates on Tuesday afternoons.
Sympathy
We extend our sympathies to Mrs Geraghty and to Mrs McMorrow on their recent bereavements.
Thank you
