Some of the older children will be taking part in a Cross Country running event on Friday 26th September at Donegal Rugby Club.
Thank you
We would like to acknowledge and thank Ivan Diver, David Myles and Ann Barrett for their recent donation of €470 to school funds. This money was raised on a bus trip during the summer.
Recent Events
The children in the Senior Room enjoyed a History Trip to Bundoran Library where they were entertained by Michael Moylan. The theme of the presentation was World War 1.
This trip was followed by a workshop in school on the theme of peace and reconciliation - the children took part in activities which explored the Christmas truce during the 1st World War. They made their own footballs, had a great time kicking them around the playground and learned the importance of treating everyone as they would like to be treated themselves. Our thanks to Kyle from the Ulster Sports Academy for running our workshop and also for kindly leaving us his huge bag of footballs!
Glenveagh
The children in the Senior Room will be visiting Glenveagh National Park on Wednesday October 8th.
Nature Workshop
As part of the Irish Heritage Scheme, we will be taking part in workshops in school on October 1st. All of the children will be taking part in outdoor activities.
National Tree Day
We will be celebrating National Tree Day on Thursday 9th October.
Rapunzel Fund
Well done to Aimee who had a haircut during the holidays and donated her very long ponytail to the Rapunzel Fund.
Thank you
We welcome Geraldine who is coming to us weekly for work experience and also John Corrie who will be visiting us regularly to help with reading.
We also welcome Mrs Russell who will be working with the children in the Senior Room. They will be studying the story of Jonah.
We also thank Mr Barnett for his continued work in the school garden. The children have been lucky enough to have been able to harvest some of the crops they planted earlier in the year.
