Congratulations
Congratulations to the Leslie family on the birth of baby Shona during the Easter holidays. She has already made her first visit to school and was even able to help us with one of our science investigations. We thank her mum and dad for allowing her to take part. Warm Weather Please bear in mind that there is little shelter or shade in the playground so please make sure the children have sun hats this week and if necessary, either send or apply sunscreen. Standardised Tests Please make sure there are no absences or morning appointments from Monday May 15th until Thursday 25th May. Important Dates Senior Tour - Wednesday 7th June Junior Tour - Friday 9th June Beetle Drive - Wednesday 14th June @ 7 p.m. End of Year Show - Thursday 22nd June @ 7 p.m. Last Day of Term - Tuesday 27th June New School Term begins - Friday 1st September Football The children in the middle room enjoyed a football blitz in Killybegs on Wednesday. We were just astounded at this year's entries. They were all outstanding...so lovely to see the imagination and creativity of our young pupils. If you have a minute, please take time to have a look at the pictures in the Gallery. Mrs Patterson had the unenviable task of judging and we had our prize giving ceremony this afternoon. I think they are all worthy of a prize. Well done everyone!
Oh dear...there were so many rules broken today, we had to call the Guards! Some extremely troublesome pupils and lawbreakers roaming the building! Absolute chaos...
All jokes aside, we have had a marvellous day. Thank you so much to all our pupils, their families and our school staff for all the effort that went into today and for the support given. Thank you also to James and Ryan Deane (and family) for their sweet stand. Also a very special thank you to Sergeant Paddy Battle for calling in and restoring order! No arrests needed thankfully! At the last count, we had raised €900 for the Alan Patterson Trust...a truly superb amount. Thank you all again! ‘Decorate an Egg for Easter’ Competition

Lots of whispering, head scratching and moaning going on but as well as promoting reading and having lots of fun, as always it was lovely to see how kind and caring our older children are towards out smallest ones. Something Fishy We welcomed representatives from Inland Fisheries Ireland for this year's Something Fishy visit. The children enjoyed this visit immensely. Inland Fisheries have asked for permission to use photographs taken on the day for promotional use. If you do not want your child’s photograph used, please contact the school as soon as possible and let us know. Fortunately the rain stayed away long enough for us to go outside for our annual pancake tossing races.
