We will be visited in school on Monday 25th February by the author Chris Thompson. These visits are always enjoyed by the children. They also provide a great opportunity for you to talk to your children about reading and writing so please ask the children about the visit.
Something Fishy
Thank you to Dara and Paul from Inland Fisheries Ireland who visited school last Thursday. This visit is always very popular with the children, who had the opportunity to hold fish, learn about water pollution and use keys/microscopes to identify a myriad of creatures in the water samples. Have a look at the photographs in the Gallery.
Unihoc Sponsor Money
Please could all remaining sponsor money be returned to school as soon as possible so that we can announce the total raised.
Well done, Louise
We are very proud of Louise who had a very important haircut this week. Louise has donated her 12" ponytail to the Rapunzel Foundation which makes wigs for those who have suffered hair loss as a result of cancer treatment or illness. It has taken her a long time to grow her ponytail and we think this selfless and very considerate act deserves much praise. Well done, Louise!

Well done to the girls' team who came third in the Killaghtee Football Competition this year.
