Carol Service

Thank you as always to everyone who helped with preparations for the tea at the Carol Service and to those were very busy serving tea and clearing. Your help was much appreciated.

Thank you also to everyone who came along to watch and support the children, especially in the middle of that storm!  We hope you enjoyed the children's singing and performing. Thankfully, it seems everyone got home safely!

Thank you again to Ezra for his help with the lights in the church and also to Nigel for the use of his sound equipment.

Christmas Party

Thank you to everyone who helped with the Christmas Party on Monday evening  The children had a great time and were delighted with the presents from Santa.  Thank you to Santa for coming along to meet the children and we hope he will pass on his thanks to his very industrious elves for helping to sort the presents for the party.  We also thank Stephen McElhinney for providing the music and entertaining the children.

Carol Service

Thank you

On behalf of everyone in school, I would like to thank Nan Leslie and the ladies of Hilltown W.L.O.L. for the hard work and effort that went into organising the recent Table Quiz and Quiz Sheets which raised a fantastic €1407 for our school funds.  Nan called into school last week and we were able to say thank you in person and ask that our thanks also be passed on to all those who helped make the event such a success.

Ashtree Garden Centre Tree Competition

We have spent quite a lot of time over the past few weeks creating decorations for our school tree in the Ashtree Garden Centre Tree Competition.  If you are able, please take a trip down to cast your vote for our tree.  Thank you to Mrs Gourley for overseeing the project and also to Mrs Patterson who helped decorate it last Tuesday evening.  Thank you also to those others in school who baked, (baked again!) and generally helped the children get the decorations made and ready.

Computer Programming

We thank Brian Donaghy for spending last Tuesday morning with the children from the Senior Room. As part of their R.D.S. project, the children have been working on creating a computer programme to help with the identification of the many creatures they have been finding in our river samples. Hopefully this game will form part of the display in the R.D.S. on January 10th.
