I am delighted to be announcing that we have just been awarded our 

10th Discover Science Award

We have been working on this all year. Well done to all our teachers for their hard work and a special well done to all our young and enthusiastic scientists. We are soon going to run out of room for these plaques on our wall

There are lots of things happening this week...

Cycle Training

Children from 2nd - 6th Class will be taking part in cycle training this week as part of our work towards our Green Flag.

Book Fair

The Book Fair will be in school from Wednesday 3rd June.

Author's Visit

The author, Denise Blake will be in school on Wednesday 3rd June and she will be running writing workshops with all classes.

Fun Walk

Our annual walk and cycle will take place on Thursday 4th June.  If you can help in any way, please let us know.  We need a few volunteers to help serve up the refreshments after the walk.  Please don't forget to send your €5 donation...although we are not running this as a sponsored event, every euro collected makes a difference to the activities and resources we can provide throughout the year.

School Tour 

The Infants, 1st and 2nd had a lovely day out on Thursday.  We hope to get some photographs up in the Gallery for you soon.  I hear Mrs Gourley and Eli came along to Arena 7 to join in the fun.

Cycle Training

Just to let you know that we will be holding cycle training in school on June 3rd and 4th. We are hoping that all children from 2nd Class up to 6th Class will take part. The children will need roadworthy bicycles and cycle helmets. More details will be sent home next week.


Author's Visit

We will be welcoming the write Denise Blake to school on Wednesday 3rd June.

School Tour

The older children had a lovely day out on Friday visiting Florencecourt House and the Marble Arch Caves.  Apologies for the late arrival home.  Photographs in the Gallery soon.

Gaeltacht

We send our best wishes to John, Ryan, Shanice and Sophie as they travel to the Gaeltacht for a 5 day stay.  

WOW!

What a lovely walk we had to school this morning! The sun was shining and it was fun to meet up and chat as we walked along. Well done to everyone...we had every child in school join us so thank you to all our Mums and Dads for the help and support.

Well done also to those parents who parked up and walked again this evening. We hope some of you will make it a regular habit. The children are very eager to walk again!

Fun Walk

Our annual walk has been arranged for Thursday 4th June at 6.30 p.m.  If you can help in any way please let us know.

We are not asking for sponsorship money this year.  Instead we are asking for a minimum donation of €5 from each family for school funds.

New Junior Infants

The date for the new Junior Infants to come and visit has been arranged for Tuesday 16th June from 9.30 a.m. until 11.00 a.m.  It is always fun to meet the newest members of the family.

Putting on the Ritz

I am sure that everyone is as delighted as myself that the total raised by the 'Putting on the Ritz' fundraising event is a phenomenal

for school funds! (The money raised by bag packing is included in this total)

Walk On Wednesdays

Don't forget that this Wednesday (13th May) we are encouraging everyone to join us on our walk, cycle or 'park and stride' to school.
A reminder that there are two joining points:  
Those on the Ballyshannon side of school will meet at the children's playground behind Anderson's.
Those on the Laghey side will meet at the Community Centre.

Please meet us between 9.00 and 9.15 a.m.
