Easter Egg Competition

We were just astounded at this year's entries. They were all outstanding...so lovely to see the imagination and creativity of our young pupils. If you have a minute, please take time to have a look at the pictures in the Gallery. Mrs Patterson had the unenviable task of judging and we had our prize giving ceremony this afternoon. I think they are all worthy of a prize. Well done everyone!

Thank you - Break the Rules Day

Oh dear...there were so many rules broken today, we had to call the Guards! Some extremely troublesome pupils and lawbreakers roaming the building! Absolute chaos...
All jokes aside, we have had a marvellous day. Thank you so much to all our pupils, their families and our school staff for all the effort that went into today and for the support given. Thank you also to James and Ryan Deane (and family) for their sweet stand. Also a very special thank you to Sergeant Paddy Battle for calling in and restoring order! No arrests needed thankfully! At the last count, we had raised €900 for the Alan Patterson Trust...a truly superb amount. Thank you all again!

‘Decorate an Egg for Easter’ Competition

There were some very imaginative entries last time and we are very much looking forward to this year’s entries. All eggs must be blown or hard boiled and need to be in school by Monday 3rd April or Tuesday 4th April for judging. Good luck and have fun!

Break the rules at school day

Next Wednesday 5th April, we are going to break our school rules all for a really good cause. As well as teaching our young pupils to read, write and count, we hope that they will develop into young people who care for others. You will be aware that last August, Mrs Patterson’s brother in law, Alan suffered a terrible injury in a trampolining accident. We would like to support the work of the Alan Patterson Trust as they help Alan on his way to recovery. Obviously our pupils are really struggling with the concept of being less angelic for the day but we hope with a little financial support, they will be able to break a few of the rules. More details will be sent home at the beginning of the week.

Naturally Wild

On Friday 24th March we had Dale from RTEjr and Naturally Wild visit our school. Our theme was ‘At home in the trees’. We planted some new trees in the school grounds and learned about lots of different creatures which make their homes in trees.

Dress for Denim Day

A total of €125 was raised for the Alzheimer society at our Dress for Denim Day. Thank you all for supporting this.

Book Fair

Thank you for your support of this year’s Book Fair. A total of €333 worth of free books was raised for our library. Thank you to Mrs Geraghty for organising the Book Fair.

Easter Holidays

School will close on Friday 7th April and will reopen on Monday 24th April.

Tag Rugby

The children in the Senior Room enjoyed taking part in a rugby blitz at Donegal Rugby Club on Thursday.
