Bishop’s Visit
The children enjoyed a visit from Bishop Ken Good on Thursday morning. He spoke to the children about the meaning of the parable of the Sower and the children treated him to two beautifully sung hymns.
Walk on Wednesday
We will resume our “Walk to School” this Wednesday morning 27th April meeting at the Community Centre from 9.00 a.m. - 9.10 a.m. This is weather permitting.
Book Fair
Thank you for your support of this year’s Book Fair. A total of €350 worth of free books was raised for our library. Thank you to Mrs Geraghty for organising the Book Fair.
Pencil Cases
In recent weeks teachers have been finding it increasingly difficult to get tasks done in the classroom due to interruptions when children are arriving at school without basic supplies. Please make sure that the children have pencils, white board markers, glue etc. in their pencil cases. Please replace any missing items.
Test Week
Reminder - This year's testing period will run from 16th May to 26th May. Please try to ensure that the children are punctual (some tests will begin at 9.30 a.m.) and that there are no absences or morning appointments during these two weeks.
End of Year Show
Please note the change of date.
The End of Year show will be on Wednesday 22nd June at 7.00 p.m.
Archaelogical Visit
The children in the Senior Room enjoyed a visit by Caroline Carr from Donegal County Museum on Wednesday. She brought along a 'History Box' full of tools, utensils and weapons from Stone Age and Iron Age times.
Seven lucky children spent the day on their bicycles out and about on the roads around Ballintra completing their Level 2 Cycling Training last Thursday. This is part of our work for our Green School Travel Award.
