Church Service

Well done to the children from the Senior Room who sang in Drumholm Church this morning and thank you to all those who came along and joined us.  Thank you also to the ladies of the Mothers' Union who provided everyone with a very welcome cup of tea!

Condolences

We extend our sincere sympathy and offer our condolences to Myra Doherty following the death of her husband Jim.  We also extend our sympathy to his family and extended family, both to those family members who are current parents or pupils and those who were part of our school community in years past.

Belfast Trip

The children in the Senior Room are off on another trip to Belfast this week.  This time they will be visiting Queen's University for a practice for their Peace Proms Concert and also visiting the Ulster Museum.

Drama Fit

We had great fun this week taking part in a 'Drama Fit' P.E. class facilitated by the staff from the Energy Hub, Donegal Town.  We hope to avail of more sessions in the next few weeks.

Church Service

The children from the Senior Room will be singing in Drumholm Parish Church on Sunday 31st January at 11.00 a.m.  They have been working very hard with Ms Currid on their songs.

Peace Proms

The children have a Peace Proms practice in Belfast on 2nd February.  This will be an exciting day out for us as, not only will be have the opportunity to visit Queen's University in Belfast, but we will also be visiting the Ulster Museum.  High on our list of things to see is a real Egyptian Mummy...Takabuti.

The Peace Proms concert itself takes place on February 28th in the SSE Arena in Belfast.  Please let us know if you are planning to travel on the bus with us.  

Congratulations

We send our congratulations and best wishes to Mrs Patterson and her husband Richard.  Little Jorja has a new baby brother or sister to look forward to in summer.

Staffing

Mrs Gourley will be returning to school on Monday 29th February.  Further details about staffing arrangements will be sent home shortly.

Pancake Tuesday

Pancake Tuesday is nearly here again!  If there are any Mums or Dads who would like to come in and make pancakes for the children, would you please let us know as soon as possible?

Fundraising Tea/Coffee Morning

Following the huge success of last year's fundraising coffee morning, Leah has very kindly offered to run the event again this year.  If you can help in any way, please let Leah or Cathrena know please.

School will be closed for Half-Term on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th February.

Open Day for new Junior Infants

We will be holding our Open Day for new Junior Infants on Tuesday 8th March from 2.00 p.m. until 3.00 p.m.  If you know of anyone who may not be aware of this date, would you please let them know.
